# Voyado Engage integration

> Integrate Voyado Elevate and Voyado Engage for even more powerful merchandising.

[Voyado Engage](https://voyado.com/products/customer-loyalty-platform/) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> contains a standardized integration with Voyado Elevate. To accomplish a successful integration, the following requirements must be met:

* Identifying a customer in both Elevate and Engage.
* Matching the Elevate variant key with the Engage SKU key.

## Customer identification

To identify customers between the two platforms, the `customerKey` that is used in Elevate must be added to calls to Engage as the `discoveryKey`. By making Engage and Elevate agree on who a particular contact is, data such as audiences and behavior can be easily shared between the two products. ## Key matching

When Voyado Elevate is used together with Voyado Engage, the [Elevate Variant Key](https://docs.elevate.voyado.cloud/elevate/4/integration/catalog-imports/format-overview/#variant) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> must match the SKU key in Engage. This alignment enables offline purchase data to enrich Elevate, powering more accurate and personalized experiences both onsite and in email.

In this context, the Variant Key in Elevate typically represents a specific product variation (for example, size or color), while the SKU key in Engage refers to the same item identifier. Ensuring they match is essential for accurate attribution of purchase behavior.

Integrating Elevate with Engage enables the following features:

* Targeting [Boosts](https://help.elevate.voyado.com/hc/en-gb/articles/27610873628444-Boost) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> and [Bury](https://help.elevate.voyado.com/hc/en-gb/articles/27610936024988-Bury) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> to audiences defined in Engage
* Creating target audiences in Engage based on [current interest](https://help.elevate.voyado.com/hc/en-gb/articles/19044865275164-Working-with-Current-interest) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> detected by Elevate sessions
* Allowing [connected recommendations](https://help.engage.voyado.com/hc/en-gb/sections/21716500740252-Connected-recommendations) <Icon icon="external-link" size={12} /> in Engage design studio based on Elevate recommendation types
